Kevin Mathews Since returning to Helena in 2000 he has performed as a featured soloist with the Helena Symphony in the inaugural Evening at the Opera, the Messiah, a Christmas Pops concert, two Summer Symphony productions, Sweeny Todd, Carmen, the Marriage of Figaro, and the Barber of Seville. Kevin has also appeared as a soloist with the Helena Chamber Singers, the Bozeman Symphonic Choir, and the Artisan Dance Company. Kevin played the King in Grandstreet Theater’s production of The King and I, and the villainin Urinetown. He frequently performs jazz vocal standards with Jim Madden and Luke Michelson at Benny’s Bistro. |
Kevin is a Helena native and current resident. He studied vocal performance at Montana State University while earning a degree in Chemical Engineering. While at MSU he was active in performance choirs, local opera, and musical theater. After graduation he moved to the Seattle area where he performed as a soloist with the Pacific Lutheran University chorale.
